Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and I thought it could be fun to discuss what's on everyone's menu. Whether cooking at home, visiting others, or going out, we all have preferences for the holiday. Now is your chance to share yours; what you have planned, your favorites, recipes if you like and so forth.
Ours is a fairly standard menu, and doesn't change much from year to year. A big roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole with marshmallows, rolls, deviled eggs, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cherry pie, home-brewed iced tea, and egg nog. Sometimes squash is added, and maybe some cranberry muffins. Overall, though, the menu doesn't really change.
I'd love to hear your standards, and any recipes you'd like to share. Pictures are welcome, if you want, and stories of holidays past are most welcome!
For anyone feeling less than festive, know that God loves you, and people do care.
