Sorry I haven't been posting more, but I just haven't seen a lot to yak about lately. Well, nothing fitting for the Christmas season, anyway!
Ah, Christmas! It's been pretty calm this year. The lights were up by the 6'th, along with most of the decorating, with the last little bits being done by the 7'th. Gift wrapping was finished by the 15'th. Most was done a few days prior, but a couple of gifts didn't arrive till later, hence the delay.
Yeah, yeah, I hear the grumbling. I've been there; wrapping on Christmas Eve, trying to finish in time. Not having small kids running around helps. For those still wrapping, you can do it! I wished sometimes, in those days, for a nice empty closet in which to store gifts, so I could wrap them well ahead of time and hide then away.
Baking cookies was on the 17'th, to deliver to the few neighbors the next day. No, not a huge job, as we really don't have a lot of neighbors. Those we have are good people though, which is a real blessing. Thus, the reason for baking.
I do hope everyone is staying warm and safe, and that you're able to spend some time with loved ones. If you can't, just love them from afar, and remember the reason for the season. You are loved, and that's what this day is about.
